Roles & Responsibilities The Regional Engineering Director will be responsible for strategizing, organising, planning and managing the Regional Development of site operational engineering teams; scoping and rolling out the regional Engineering strategy in a sustainable manner. This is a development journey for the region to bring Site Engineering teams together in common ways of working, reporting and overall improvement, with the primary goal being to implement both Company and Industry common practice, as a means of supporting manufacturing performance through stronger, better organised and more measured execution. Engineering Responsibility Areas: Development of a strategy in line with the Company's existing principles Coaching of Site Engineering Leads Lending technical assistance to sites on engineering solutions and building technical cases for maintenance & development capital submission Site master planning Maintenance and Asset Care oversight in conjunction with Regional Maintenance Manager. Development of maintenance strategy general and specific, 5S, TPM etc. Site Engineering performance management, Organisation and skill management SME and ESP engagement into sites requiring that expertise Member of the Regional Technical Review group for larger Capex investments Technical sponsor for larger above site investments Regional Engineering strategy group Championing Engineering Continuous Improvement initiatives Operational Knowledge Area: Asset Management System Regional Engineering Strategizing Implementation management of change process in line with the QHSE function Understanding of Hygienic Engineering & Design requirement Implementation of maintenance requirements for Food Safety Visual Management, 5S, PDCA, Engineering KPI’s Contractor evaluation and management Budget Management Capex / Opex Management Asset Care Program implementation Maintenance team coaching and development Engineering strategy development Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Minimum Third Level Degree in an Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) Minimum 8 to 10 years’ Engineering experience in a Multinational environment Exposure to a capex projects of magnitude greater than 20mEuros Must have experience managing and conducting projects in multiple countries Must have previously worked in the Food industry Good understanding of SPC, FMEA, six-sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles Familiar with project management tools Cross-functional team management and engagement Strong track record of on-time, on-budget and on-specification delivery of projects Exposure to TPM, 5S, Lean programs is an advantage Key Competencies: Must have the ability to work with teams remotely Coaching and Development of reports and site teams Appreciation for cultural work practices and approaches Strong project management skills and experience Excellent numerical, verbal and communication skills required Demonstrates effective leadership skills Strong interpersonal, presentation and organisation skills Independent and self-motivated achiever
