- Assistant Controller Reports To: Group Controller, Director of Accounting, General Manager and President Office working hours Monday to Friday 8 AM to 4:30PM, 30-minute mandatory lunch break. General accounting functions, including processing of vehicle deals, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations and inventory reconciliation. Maintaining accounting ledgers by posting invoices for multiple departments account transactions and reconciliation. Ensure that the accounting records are maintained in an organized and accurate manner at all times Submit receivable, vehicle, payable reports weekly and other required reports in a timely manner Receipting in credit card transactions, EFT's, checks etc. Prepare and deposit funds as required Verifies general ledger by reconciling balance sheet accounts, verifying income and expense transactions Reconciliations of Customer accounts, produce monthly receivable statements Reconciliations of Vendor accounts, issue payments via cheq, direct deposit and credit card payments Reconciliations of Bank and Credit Card accounts, submit detailed reconciliations to Controller(s) Assist the Controller in the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements Assist in preparing year-end audit working papers Maintain knowledge of Hyundai Canada’s standard accounting policies Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Relieve the receptionist call/ front desk for breaks, lunches Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller(s) Job Type: Full-time Experience: Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
