Location: Peterborough, ON Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Rate of Pay: Depending on experience As a Network Analyst, you will be responsible for: Installing, configuring, managing and supporting WAN/LAN, including both wired and wireless infrastructure. Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on network and internal systems to assess performance, availability, utilization, throughput, and latency. Monitor potential threats, identify trends and troubleshoot issues. Managing critical systems including firewalls, core switches, routers; ensuring devices and communication are secure. Troubleshooting network and hardware problems; escalating problems to vendor when required. Working closely with vendors, third parties and Information Systems team to manage and support new Information Systems initiatives. Designing and implementing new safeguards to protect internal systems. Assisting the IT Security Officer in performing security audits, network scans, vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to ensure the security of internal systems. Serving as subject matter expert, supporting and contributing to the success internal projects. Maintaining network and computer system security; participate in CST (Cyber Security Team) initiatives. Developing, maintaining and updating security controls; contributing to strengthening overall IT and cyber security threat management and internal security processes. Perform other duties as may be required from time to time that are commensurate with the position. Qualifications Required The successful individual will have: A post-secondary education with an emphasis in Computer Programming or Computer Science Minimum 5 years technical expertise, focusing on networking and IT security Previous experience in the financial industry is a strong asset Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of: Internetworking (TCP/IP) Communications and Network Security IDS-IPS Job Reference Number 19-P-60 Closing Date Open until filled Job Location Peterborough, ON.
