Job Summary Kaufman Lynn is seeking an experienced Insurance Specialist to monitor and control subcontractor risk during the operations phase of construction. Duties include overseeing subcontractor insurance compliance, subcontractor participation in controlled insurance programs, and tracking and managing insurance claims. The Insurance Specialist will be able to understand the intricacies of insurance in the construction industry, understand exposures, and make decisions within the company's risk tolerance. Key Responsibilities: Work with third party COI tracking vendor to monitor subcontractor insurance compliance and review and approve subcontractor COIs as necessary Ensure subcontractor compliance with CCIP and OCIP programs Obtain, review and approve contract-required documents including payment & performance bonds and irrevocable letters of credit Track project-specific insurance placements and obtain extensions as necessary Review client-provided insurance policies for contract compliance and coverage issues Track and manage insurance claims Maintain Master Compliance Log on a per-project basis Review open invoice reports and place compliance holds as necessary Provide KL's certificates of insurance to clients, building departments, and vendors, upon request Candidate Requirements: 3+ years of experience in the construction insurance industry, or 5+ years in commercial lines Strengths necessary for this position include technical knowledge on insurance and risk, organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to read contracts and insurance policies, customer service skills, and willingness to help and teach others 5osj7XnWZz
