Role Summary: The Consultancy Manager for South Africa has direct responsibility for the implementation and deployment of the several ERP products (Trade, Rental business, Installation, Projects) and all employees of the team (ERP consultants, project managers, support consultants). This hands-on management team member will drive and steer the customer’s implementation process to satisfy their objectives in going live. Must be able to present alternatives to the customers to assist in the implementation process. This role will report to the Professional Services Director in South Africa. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the ERP Software implementation resources to ensure the successful delivery of projects and ongoing customer engagements. Responsible for Project Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Customer training, Consultancy and Support. Everything related to the customer that is connected with implementing software in the South Africa Report on Operational issues affecting KCS performance along with providing an action plan for issues and mitigation. Follow company guidelines and deliver on budget project Ensure team members are aware of company and project goals, targets and expectations Collaborate with other members of the Senior Management team and stakeholders, providing accurate information on implementations and achievement against key project goals. Develop and oversee the implementation process and procedures to support a high quality software solution. Drive and steer the customer’s implementation process to satisfy their objectives in going live. Be prepared to present alternatives. Ability to think outside the box. Hands-on manager who is practical, pragmatic and has the ability to satisfy a customer’s needs or present alternatives. Ability to manage a team that is virtual, traveling and on site. Will have ongoing interface with all levels of customers up to senior management. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Qualification & Experience: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or related degree or 15 years of equivalent experience. Minimum Experience: 8 years of management experience to include an implementations team. Experience or knowledge of ERP software systems, implementations and distributive trade verticals. Proven track record in the area of customer facing to include C-level members. Ability to challenge effectively at all levels, and confident in pushing back where required. Managing client expectations. Strong presentation skills, both face-to-face and via live meeting. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Experience working with customers up to C-level. Preferred Experience: ERP software experience with KCS software or compatible or with competitor. Other knowledge, skills or abilities: Team player Analytical, with a high attention to detail Enthusiastic, with a willingness to take ownership and be accountable Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at a time. Solution focused. Special Conditions: The role involves travel (your own vehicle and a valid passport is an essential part of the role) to customer sites in SA as well as surrounding countries. You may also be required to travel to our other offices in the UK and overseas.
