Our operation forms part of a network of strategically placed operations that enable Chemtrans to provide National logistics solutions. Our work is driven by specialised defence and mining projects in the assistance of transportation of specialised dangerous goods, the work is sporadic but ongoing from varying requirements to work throughout the year, from a few days to longer periods of 6 weeks plus. Will suit a semi-retired or retired person. We are currently seeking fit professional and experienced dangerous goods drivers or ex-service Police and or Defence employees to be comfortable with the work at hand and the ability to pass associated security clearances (permanent residency required). Duties: Able to follow safe loading and unloading procedures Work unsupervised in remote locations at times Must work as part of a close team Optional duties if you are interested Operate a multi combination vehicle (local and interstate paid upgrades from HR to MC) Operate side loader, training available if required Load and unload D.G, explosives and S.S.A.N and complete correct documentation · Training can be provided to the right person and upgrades from HR to MC licensing Skills and Experience: MC License, upgrades available HR to MC to the right candidates Available to work Monday – Sunday (causal basis supporting a team of current permanent and casual staff) Available to be away for short and long periods of time depending on the task at hand Experience with explosives highly regarded or industry experience preferred but not essential. Hold a current Dangerous Goods license preferred but not essential. Training can be provided. Provide a clean Driver History & Infringement report A MSIC is desirable but is not an essential requirement to be accepted for this position Provide excellent communication skills and show strong attention to detail Attend a Truck Safe Pre-Employment medical alongside a police & provide criminal history check Must be an Australian citizen and undergo Police and A.S.I.O.
