Job Description - Designer Coordinator Reporting to the Director of Design The Design Coordinator is responsible for developing the client’s vision by coordinating with internal and external team members bringing the clients concept to completion, while simultaneously supervising the work flow and team members, ensuring project timelines are met. In this role you are expected to coach and mentor more junior members of staff and take on more responsibility within the team, essentially becoming the Design Director's ‘go-to’ person, assisting in delegating work and ensuring project hours are in line with tasks. In this role you will have a deeper understanding of client’s needs and also the importance of staying within budgets. Skills and Experience Required High proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Google Sketch Up, Microsoft Office Suite and V Ray (or similar rendering program) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Organized, with strong problem solving abilities Strong leadership skills; able to lead by example Ability to work well in a team environment, but also able to operate independently Strong sense of proportion and visual awareness Resourceful and able to create innovative and original designs for clients Qualifications : Post-secondary education in Interior Design (Degree or Diploma) Experience: 4+ years’ experience in space planning, rendering, drafting, and presentations.
