ACCOUNTING CLERK Accounting Clerk – F/T Permanent The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver is an organization that provides educational, recreational, cultural and social programs and services in the Oakridge area. We are looking for an Accounting Clerk that will be an integral part of the accounting team performing accounts payable, accounts receivable and general departmental tasks. This is an entry level position and a typical day will see you working on accounts payable activities such as expense validation, coding, data entry, statement reconciliation and filing; and accounts receivable activities such as deposits, program cancellations/transfers, cash reconciliation and member account review. What we need from you: One year of AR/AP experience or cooperative education experience preferred Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills and a strong computer orientation Ability to learn quickly Ability to work collaboratively Ability to communicate effectively Ability to demonstrate high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical skills Excellent time management Service oriented Payroll experience is an asset We offer a competitive total compensation package which includes benefits, pension and membership to our facilities and fitness centre. $17.00 – 22.00 per hour depending on experience.
