A partial listing of faculty responsibilities includes curriculum development, assessment activities, appropriate use of technology to enhance student learning, participation on committees, academic advisement of students, mentoring and collaboration with colleagues, as well as participation in recruitment and retention activities. Faculty members are also expected to have flexible schedules to adjust to the needs of the student population, and to be open to exploring alternative teaching modalities. In particular, the college seeks individuals with leadership potential and a vision for the future. Job Description: Full-time, tenure-line faculty position on the Jamestown campus. (Travel to other sites may be required.) Responsibilities include teaching freshman and sophomore engineering science courses, such as: Statics, Dynamics, Computer Programming for Sciences/Engineering, and Strength of Materials. The person hired will also be expected to teach courses in one or more manufacturing technology related areas (automation, electrical, mechanical, welding). Position will begin August 2020. Qualifications: Required: Master’s degree (or higher) in engineering science or related discipline. Preferred: PhD in engineering science or related discipline; strong background in mechanical technology and/or mechatronics; community college teaching experience; demonstrated leadership ability.
