Audit - CIB EMEA Banking Technology Audit - Associate - Based Bournemouth Audit Department Description JPMC's Internal Audit Department, which is comprised of over 800 auditors globally, reports to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and is further accountable to the Chairman and CEO, senior management, and the regulators. Audit is an independent risk assessment function established within the organization to evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management's system of internal control. Business Description The EMEA Internal Audit team is responsible for assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment across regional business activities. This is achieved through a program of audit coverage performed and managed by a team of business and technology audit specialists and coordinated on a global basis with colleagues in the US and Asia. In addition, the team is involved in assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of controls over significant projects including business reorganizations and acquisitions, technology developments/conversions, off-shoring, and product development. Position Description The Technology Auditor position is based in Bournemouth and will join the Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) CIB Audit Team responsible for audit coverage of the regional CIB businesses partnering closely with colleagues in the other regional Audit teams. The auditor will be responsible for maintaining relationships with and providing control related advice to business stakeholders as well as planning, execution and documentation of the results of their work for audits conducted. Data analytics skills and the ability to use automated techniques to analyse data are key to the role. The role will primarily cover Banking Services technology. However, candidates with experience of other lines of business will be considered and alignments can be altered for exceptional candidates. It is expected that auditors will work on all lines of business at some stage to balance fluid resourcing needs. Responsibilities Work closely with business and technology audit colleagues to ensure that key risks are identified and assessed in the program of audit coverage, Assist in all aspects of audits including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting and follow up and verification of issue closure, Perform audit work in accordance with department and professional standards, and complete assignments in an efficient manner, Write audit work papers and reports with minimal intervention by the Audit manager, Partner with colleagues, stakeholders and control community members to evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls with appropriate recommendations for improvement. This may be delivered through specific audit reviews or through ongoing involvement in major activities or projects, Provide continuous monitoring of technology areas. Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology leaders and related control groups, Monitor key risk indicators, significant change activities and escalation of emerging issues to management in a timely fashion, Stay up-to-date with evolving industry and regulatory changes impacting the business. Qualifications Education to degree standard, technology degree is preferred, Previous experience in Technology either within Audit, Risk Management, Application Development and or Operations role(s), Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required with ability to present complex and sensitive issues in writing and orally to senior management, Ability to build strong partnerships with our clients, as we share common goals of providing a well-controlled operating environment to maximize value to our shareholders, Working knowledge of application and infrastructure controls, for example Access Administration, Change Management, Security Configuration and Business Resiliency, Working knowledge of the development lifecycle and project and program management concepts and controls, Data analytics skills and the ability to use automated techniques to analyse data Detailed understanding of key technologies, Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner with minimal supervision. Works well individually and in teams, shares information and supports colleagues, Professional certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Chartered IT Professional (CITP) is preferred, or supported during role Working knowledge of Banking Services preferred, Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong interest in learning, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability. Prepared to travel on a regular basis to London and occasionally to overseas business locations.
