The role of Field Service Technician Apprentice will be expected to provide support to our JDR Service team, working alongside departments to gain a full understanding of the roles and responsibilities. In addition the Apprentices will rotate through JDR's Maintenance, Test and Termination and Production departments to gain product knowledge and understanding, alongside day release at a supporting college, leading to a recognised engineering related qualification. Whilst rotating through many departments associated with Service you will gain an understanding of JDR as a Company, our Safety and Quality culture as well as our product offerings and the manufacturing involved to make these specialist products. You will be involved in the activities carried out within our Test and Termination department from the outset. JDR is offering two Apprenticeships within the Services department which could lead to offshore work to support JDR Products and services globally onshore and offshore, frequent time away offshore will be required. Specialist training within this sector will be provided aligned to providing professional and competent client support. JOB REQUIREMENTS Essential You must have excellent communication skills, together with the ability to work calmly whilst paying attention to detail and working as a team. Ideally this position would suit someone wishing to engage in an offshore career as a service technician. You must be over the age of 18 to complete any offshore work so a candidate that has already completed a Level 2 qualification with the aspiration to complete a Level 3 whilst working is preferred. A Full UK Driving licence and passport is also essential for this position. Qualifications 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths, English Qualified in Engineering at NVQ Level 2
