About the Role: Beef City Feedlot is a 26,500 capacity feedlot situated on the Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road between Oakey and Pittsworth on the Darling Downs. Feedlot Location: 35 km west Toowoomba, 15 km from Oakey and 20 km from Pittsworth. Beef City Feedlot are currently seeking an individual with sound leadership and cattle handling experience to become a member of our Livestock Team on a full time basis as an Induction Leading Hand. Roster is 4 days on 3 days off. Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day responsibilities in all aspects of cattle induction and receival; Assist as required with drafting/weighing of store cattle in accordance with JBS Australia specifications; Inventory management, as required, including auditing and stocktaking; Assist Induction Foreperson with the leadership, supervision and training of induction staff: Maintain a strong commitment to QA, HR, WHS and Animal Welfare standards; General feedlot duties as required by supervisor Criteria: Previous experience in cattle handling in a low stress environment is essential; Strong leadership skills including the ability to mentor members of the team; High attention to detail and sound computer skills; Ability to work in a small team environment effectively; Must have a good work ethic and be able to take and follow instruction; Interested?
