We are currently recruiting for a Drug Product Process Development Scientist 1 to join our Biologics Pharmaceutical Development Team. This position is a 12-month FTC based at our Wrexham site and reports directly to the Drug Product Process & Delivery Team Leader. The successful applicant will hold a degree in a relevant scientific discipline and have experience working within a laboratory environment. Main Duties & Responsibilities The Drug Product Process Development Scientist 1 will assist in the execution of Drug Product/Fill Finish development studies to provide robust liquid and lyophilised protein drug product manufacturing processes. Further duties will include: Works in collaboration with team leader to meet project goals and participates in conception of the approach Ensure experimental work is recorded appropriately in controlled laboratory notebooks or protocols in accordance with the requirements of GxP (Data integrity principles (ALCOA)). Perform analytical assays in support of development studies Assists authoring of reports for development studies Ensure training on analytical methods and equipment use is up to date and appropriate to support development activities. Manage consumable inventory levels within the laboratory and ensure that equipment maintenance and calibration is performed in line with approved procedures. Conduct routine sampling, testing and cleaning to maintain laboratory equipment and facilities to an appropriate standard. Prepare URSs for laboratory equipment and prepare and execute the subsequent IQ/OQ of the equipment. Prepare SOPs for processes/methods, assist in the preparation of Training Packages, and perform training. Skills, Experience & Education: Ideal: Degree in appropriate scientific discipline with 0 -1 years industrial experience in a relevant role Minimum: Degree level in a relevant discipline To all agencies: please no phone calls or emails to any employee of Ipsen in relation to this opening.
