They are now looking for 2nd/3rd line Desktop Support Engineer to work on their client’s site based in London. Key Skills: As the desktop engineer, you will be responsible for all hands-on support for (but not limited to) this kind of technology: Windows 7/10 and Office desktop/laptop support Office 365 (on-premises email will move to o365 this year – local support will be expected) SharePoint Active Directory File servers (network shares) Print server Remote/VPN access Desktop patch management, software distribution and AV Lync (note: no telephony integration between HCS and Lync planned for the UK, Lync used for messaging, likely to move to Teams as part of Office 365 migration) Cisco network support (Cisco 9200 Nexus will be DC switches and on-site, local WLC will manage wireless Access Points on site) Forcepoint/Websense internet proxies CRM tool support, Microsoft Dynamics Equity trader support (CTS for portfolio management, Cognizant SaaS services and Microsoft Dynamics) Horizon VDI experience (for local and UK DR site) Mobile support (currently iPads (but also mobiles) with MobileIron for MDM) Business Continuity Management Ticketing/CMDB: ServiceNow ticketing and asset management (CMDB) Telephony: Supporting Cancom-supplied telephony (HCS) AV: Carrilion videoconferencing system (not yet deployed) You will also need to get involved in the infrastructure side to some extent, supporting the US during UK hours.
