As a Professional, IT Quality Assurance your primary responsibilities will be as the following: Works directly with other members of the Symbility PropertyTM Quality Assurance Team to develop an in-depth knowledge of the software sold by Symbility Solutions Inc. Design and execute both manual and automated test plans and test cases/scripts for complete modules and/or workflows to ensure no defective products are moved to production. Convert business requirements and design documents into test plans and test cases/scripts. Working closely with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases/scripts to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures. Ensures quality and statistical analysis of current production concerns and processes for designated programs. Defines data quality standards and implements tools to support quality. Raise timely awareness about any discovered issues and works collaboratively with members of other related departments and suppliers to develop remedies. Responds to client concerns and/or contractual requirements as it relates to the quality of the software products. Ensures audit process is implemented on projects in accordance with approved quality procedures. Provides recommendations for improvement. Communicates application defects in a clear and concise manner. Bug fix verification and validation. Assist with other activities as assigned, required to support the business. Requirements Here is our list of must-haves: 3+ years previous experience in a Software Quality Assurance Tester position or equivalent 3+ years of test plan design, maintenance and developing test cases based upon system specifications documentation 3+ years manual functional/regression testing design and execution experience 3+ years experience creating and executing automated test scripts Demonstrated knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Strong understanding and hands on experience with QA processes and Agile methodologies Experience with QA testing on web-based and client server applications Computer savvy, with the ability to learn new software quickly and with ease Ability to think abstractly with an “outside the box” approach to testing Attentive to detail, with developed analytical skills, and a scientific approach to problem solving Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables Anything on this list would be an asset: Experience in automated testing considered an asset Familiar with programming languages, and general knowledge of .NET is an asset Experience with QA testing on iOS and Android is an asset Experience with Katalon Studio and Postman is an asset Familiar with Mercurial is an asset Benefits This is a full-time permanent position working out of our casual and team oriented office in Downtown Toronto.
