Job Description The Security Manager is a regional analytical lead on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, including Turkey and Afghanistan, responsible for monitoring political and security trends and preparing forward looking analysis on the region. In concert with the Security Director Operations and Regional Security Manager Operations, responsible for planning and forecasting based on political and security regional developments and trends and cascading guidance to the Security Specialist team. Operating in a dynamic and fast-moving working environment you will need to be adaptable and flexible; comfortable with ambiguity; able to work without supervision and under pressure in a complex operating structure. The Security Manager will perform core Security Manager duties including day-to-day resourcing and supervision of the security operation in line with global standards. Core duties include: Security Intelligence & Operations Situational awareness in line with Regional Security Centre priorities, including information collection and research on political and social issues that could impact the security and operational environment, and the timely escalation and reporting of changes to the risk environment; supervision and delivery of regional weekly and monthly analytical forecasts; Delivery of timely and accurate travel risk management advice to all audiences and across all distribution channels (online content, written briefs, verbal briefs); Coordination of complex cases (and delivery as required), including Assistance cases, Manager Services, and triage of kidnap, extortion and life threatening cases etc; Coordination and delivery mass evacuation services Operational Readiness Support operational planning, including the preparation and delivery of Country Assessment sessions and related Concepts of Operations Plan and conduct Country accreditation visits supporting commercial, Assistance and Assessments functions Assist in development of information gathering and analysis tools Preparation & Maintenance Support development of Regional Security Centre Standard Operating Procedures; Support recruitment, training, development and retention of talent Qualifications Educated to a degree level, preferably in a field related to international politics, international relations, regional area studies; Proven analytical experience focused on political and security trends in the Middle East and North Africa is essential; Experience in security or intelligence operations in military, government (officer or senior NCO), or private sector roles is an advantage; Operational security, intelligence, risk management and/or crisis management experience; Experience operating in an international context (assignments, exchanges or experience working within a multinational company). Additional Information Required Languages: Fluent spoken and written English Fluency in Arabic is a major advantage. Other regional language capability is also desired (eg. Turkish, Persian, French, German) Travel Requirements: Travel will be required from time to time to meet the requirements of the business Ability to be on call on a rotational basis as part of the regional duty roster When applying, please include your CV and cover letter.
