Middle Office and Banking Consultant 2000000069 Middle Office and Banking Consultant Background: The Middle Office group of the Finance Department is seeking a contractual to provide financial quantitative support with a focus on Asset-Liability Management (“ALM”). The team: The Middle Office group provides, amongst other functions, quantitative support to other of the IDB Treasury (“TRY”) teams for the management of the Bank’s liquid assets investing in fixed income securities and the execution of the funding strategy, as well as the services provided to the external clients in relation to risk management, hedging and asset management. What you’ll do: Develop and maintain quantitative financial analytics and reports needed in support of TRY asset liability management strategy. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance in QRM of relevant data, inputs, modeling, etc. Coordination ALM activities with the Risk Management Group. Participate in the development of TRY quantitative work in coordination with the investments and financial planning groups. Perform other research and analytical tasks as directed. The contractual will work directly with the head of ALM and the TMB group as well as people from other areas of the bank such as Treasury, Financial Planning and Risk Management. What you’ll need: Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents. Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group. Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration or similar. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Languages: Proficient on at least one of the official languages of the Bank (English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French), preferably with a working knowledge of a second one. Core and Technical Competencies: Finance, Risk, Asset Liability management, Fixed Income. Knowledge of QRM or other ALM systems. Programming in Matlab is preferred.
