Job Summary About Intelehealth: Intelehealth is a technology non-profit committed to improving access to primary health care in underserved regions of the world through its innovative telemedicine platform. Intelehealth can be used by health organizations to set up high quality telemedicine programs connecting their doctors to patients in remote and rural communities. Our partners are hospitals, NGOs and governments mainly in low and middle income countries where health systems are fractured and there is an acute shortage of health services in rural areas. Apart from the software and devices we also provide training and implementation support to our partners to set up successful telemedicine programs. Our beneficiaries are bottom of the economic pyramid, underserved rural populations who don’t have access to healthcare. Our end users are health care providers from NGOs, hospitals and governments who are typically members from the rural communities trained to be a community health worker. We believe work should be meaningful as well as enriching. About the position: Intelehealth is dedicated to developing a strong implementation team to support health organization in the use of the Intelehealth technology platform to drive the improvement of health status of underserved populations. The Senior Program Manager will be managing the implementation of Intelehealth’s telemedicine programs globally. This role will involve operational management of projects and programs. This position will work closely with technical and non-technical staff involved in deployment. The position will involve travel to remote but safe locations globally. Currently, the organization is implementing projects in Odisha (Primary Health Services), Philippines (Maternal and Child health services) and Syria (Non-communicable diseases). As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end success of implementing a telemedicine program and setting up teleclinics in rural and remote areas. Responsibilities and Duties Responsibilities: Engage with implementation partners for executing telemedicine project Generate stakeholder buy-in for an implementation and working with key stakeholders to ensure programs are well-designed for scale and sustainability Manage technical and non-technical staff to set up programs with partners and clients Monitor day-to-day operations of on-going projects Develop frameworks for monitoring and evaluation of projects Identify impact metrics and outcomes of interest for implementation outcomes, service outcomes and patient outcomes Engage with relevant healthcare stakeholders and organizations at the ground level Coordinate between the healthcare policies and the actual project deployment to develop the necessary program strategy Work with technical and field staff to incorporate data collection of prioritized metrics into program operations Work with technical team to build new features into the platform based on key program and stakeholder needs Contribute to the development of training programs for Intelehealth's software platform based on insights from implementation of programs Co-ordinate with various stakeholders - doctors, health workers, patients, implementing agency, funder, government - to deliver a successful implementation Proposal/Grant-writing Partner engagement for execution of implementation research studies Cost-effectiveness evaluation of programs Policy evaluation for incorporating telemedicine as part of public health policy Collaborate with academic partners to obtain ethics committee approvals Represent Intelehealth at relevant conferences Qualifications and Skills Qualifications and experience: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work (health sector), Public Policy, Health Informatics, or equivalent Master’s degree in Public Health or equivalent highly preferred Minimum 2 - 5 years of prior experience in any program operations role required Experience in telemedicine projects, technology based projects, ICT4D projects, eHealth or mHealth projects is highly desired Field experience working in rural areas in a developing country Skills: Experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders in the health sector Excellent project management skills and team-building skills Strong understanding of M&E methods in ICT4D preferred Excellent writing skills Good communication skills Ability to wear multiple hats, take leadership Creativity and innovative mindset to improve programs and drive impact We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high pressure environment of a startup, is a quick learner and can work independently.
