Position Description: This position provides operational support to the CEO, Executive Director and management team in areas such as, but not limited to, recruitment, compensation, and training and development programs, labour relations, implementation and interpretation, performance management, policy development and administration, occupational health and safety, and government compliance and legislation. This position is also responsible for designing and delivering customized training to employees. The HR Manager will also assist in growing the business by generating new relationships and maintaining a superior level of employee satisfaction. Qualifications: Degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resource Management or education in business administration at a college or university level; or demonstrated 3-5 years experience in a Human Resources role CPHR designation an asset Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred Experience in the design and delivery of organizational training Knowledge of relevant legislation, including BC’s Employment Standards Act, Collective Agreement, and CLBC and other Funding authority requirements Strong understanding of key HR principles Proficient in MS office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook A valid British Columbia driver’s licence and vehicle is required Requirements: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with Integra’s overall business strategy Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues Responsible for the recruitment and selection process Responsible for overseeing the ongoing work of the HR Officer Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization Nurture a positive working environment Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs Report to management and provide decision support on HR initiatives Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management Benefits: Extended health care Vision care Dental care Life insurance On-site parking Vacation & paid time off Employee assistance programs Municipal Pension Plan Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year Experience: human resources: 1 year (Required) Education: Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) Location: Victoria, BC (Required)
