What You'll be Doing Council is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a 2-3 month temporary assignment. As part of the Administration team, you’ll be answering phone calls and questions during our busy filing season. The role also involves processing filings, cheque reconciliation as well as reception coverage. Whether you’re an experienced Administrative Assistant or looking to develop your experience, this is an excellent opportunity which provides exposure to the insurance industry. Responsibilities Answer all telephone calls through dedicated phone lines; resolving callers inquiries or directing callers to the appropriate person or department when appropriate Answer routine status and general information calls on various topics, including questions related to annual filing payments and troubleshooting issues with accessing online licensee accounts Maintain flow of visitors in reception and ensure they are attended to in a timely, professional, and courteous manner, including liaising with other departments when visitors require departmental assistance Processing filings Cheque, cash, and credit card Reconciliation Qualifications and Experience 2-3 years in a related customer service position, preferably in an office environment Excellent knowledge of telephone systems and etiquette and voice mail systems Exceptional accuracy with respect to data entry and cash processing Exceptional ability to multitask and adapt to quickly changing priorities Excellent oral and written communication skills Good word processing skills, with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm
