Inspired is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who has at least 7 years + in the field of software development, with hands on team leading experience of 2 years +. Strong C++ skills are required. Experience of Java, SQL and C# would all be an advantage. Working closely with key stake holders – Architecture Team, Product team, and solely responsible for the quality and on time delivery as per product roadmap. Working with both UK stakeholders, and developers in the UK and India to deliver excellent technical solutions. Responsibilities: Work closely with the developers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach. Coordinate closely with your team to stay aligned on business goals and make sure your squad is progressing and delivering against them. Support and coaching junior team members to reach their highest technical levels. Ensure the software quality, performance, system scalability and high availability through architectural decisions and best practices. Collaborate with DevOps to build a comprehensive set of CI/CD pipelines that allow the team to deliver features on a continuous basis. Maintain detailed specifications of software components and assets Keep up with industry trends and communicate opportunities, weaknesses and threats from a technology perspective to the management. Technical Skills: Required: C++ – minimum 7 years – C++11 desirable Object-oriented design Visual Studio STL / Boost XML Source control: Git experience desirable Multithreading Desirable: Java C# SQL Building continuous delivery systems with Jenkins and Artifactory, or similar systems Web services – REST/SOAP Non Technical Competencies: Commitment to software practices of Continuous Integration and automated testing. Commitment to incorporating quality software practices into all phases of the project life lifecycle Good understanding of key AGILE concepts and/or experience with leading or operating in an AGILE environment. Proven track record of strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. Strong creative, organisational and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail Hands on, self-motivated, approach which enthuses others Experience of working with remote teams would be a distinct advantage Person Specification: A good self-starter, who will be able to pick up a significant project and lead it Educated to bachelor’s degree-level or equivalent, in a relevant discipline Extensive experience of complete software lifecycle Good written and oral communication skills Good team player
