Contract type: Permanent Location: Singapore, APAC Salary: Negotiable Imperium Commodity Search is proud to be working with a leading financial brokerage house in Singapore with extensive exchange access and clearing functions across a range of markets. To facilitate the next phase of their growth, our client is looking to expand their energy futures and options team with both execution and clearing brokers covering the Asian markets. Responsibilities: Responsible for executing trades on behalf of corporate and institutional clients (primarily corporate) on OTC trades across energy products (LNG, LPG, Oil, Gas, Coal etc.) Actively promote and develop business development opportunities with corporate energy trading clients and end users Sell the firms risk management, hedging and execution services to clients, upselling and cross-selling where suitable Promote the firms clearing capabilities and work with internal teams on the onboarding of clearing clients Liaise with exchange counterparties, internal operations and analysis teams where required Produce and distribute market commentary and insight to clients and use this as a soft business development tool for the managed futures platform Stay up to date on movements and notable events in the energy markets and capitalise on trading opportunity Make trading recommendation to clients off the back of best in class analysis and research Work closely with senior management on new products, business areas and growth Attend industry conferences and events, actively networking with prospective clients and counterparties Experience: 5 years’ experience in the energy brokerage space (oil, gas, LNG, LPG, coal etc) Network of clients in the energy space Experienced in OTC trade execution Clearing knowledge/experience ideal Fluent in English (other languages beneficial but not necessary) Strong knowledge of the Asian energy markets Analytical and reporting skills/acumen Proven ability to build relationships at senior levels within corporate energy clients in the Asian markets Located in Singapore or happy to relocate If you meet the above criteria, please send your CV/Cover Letter to Natasha Mulqueen at [email removed].
