Summary: The Communications Writer is a skilled content developer, with a mastery of both emotional storytelling and technical writing. The writer will draft blog posts, case studies, social media posts, articles, infographic copy, video scripts and more, to support ISACA brand awareness, its One in Tech Foundation and its lines of business, including membership, learning and enterprise solutions. He/she has an advanced understanding of content strategy and the ability to develop compelling, actionable content that aligns with strategic business goals. The writer possesses a strong knowledge of SEO principles and can measure results, adapt and improve. Essential Job Functions: Develop content supporting campaigns for each of ISACA’s business lines. Develop content for the ISACA Now blog, including working with the Communications Manager to plan, solicit, draft and edit content, in addition to coordinating with web team on publishing. Scan news stories and interview experts to draft posts on breaking-news stories. Ensure ISACA Now content helps drive visibility of organization wide initiatives and deliverables, provides valuable tips and guidance, and highlights timely topics in the news that are of interest to the ISACA professional community. Solicit and write stories for the #IAmISACA storytelling campaign. Ensure content is leveraged in multiple ways to maximize value. Write bylined articles, working with board members, executives and ISACA subject matter experts to plan, develop and place articles in external publications and digital outlets to expand awareness of ISACA and its expertise on business technology topics important to ISACA’s professional community. Develop communications content deliverables in support of ongoing and special communications campaigns, to include content assets related to communications-driven surveys, media relations campaigns and social media. Collect and evaluate metrics and make recommendations for improvements and new ideas. Education & Experience: Required Field of Study: Bachelor's in Journalism or similar (English, Communications, PR) Minimum Years of Experience Required: 4+ years Description of Minimum Experience Required: Writing on technical topics Writing blog posts, articles, case studies, and social posts for an organization Preferred Field of Study: Bachelor's in Journalism or similar (English, Communications, PR) Preferred Years of Experience: 6+ years Description of Preferred Experience: Writing Multimedia experience Business and technology industry exposure International Professional association/volunteer engagement Non-profit
