Role context Based in the region, the INTO Recruitment and Marketing Manager (Africa) – US Specialist will be responsible for the recruitment of students for INTO’s network of US Centers, education agent training & support and budgetary control. Regular travel throughout Sub-Saharan Africa and occasionally to the USA will be necessary. Flexibility is required to meet the demands of the post, including evening and weekend work. Reporting line The role reports to the Recruitment Director (Africa). Job purpose The purpose of this position is to maximize enrollments to INTO’s US centers and partner universities through working with agents, institutions and sponsors in the region, and to increase awareness of and knowledge about the INTO network through the use of social media and other marketing tools. Recruitment & Marketing Manager (Africa) – US Specialist October 2019 Key accountabilities and duties The following tasks provide a general overview of the types of activity the successful applicant will be expected to engage in on a day to day basis. The tasks are not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities as the nature of our business requires all employees to be flexible, dynamic and to have the capacity to think creatively when presented with challenges. Sales Achieve and ideally exceed annual targets while staying with set financial budgets Assist in the development of annual business plans with the Recruitment Director (Africa) Act as US Ambassador for key agencies and organizations within the region Train agents on the US education system (including visa requirements) and INTO’s US network, including both Pathway and Direct Entry programs Deliver presentations to prospective students Maximize sales development opportunities Provide ideas for product development opportunities & feedback on proposed product development Manage effective launch of new products Provide regional insight into student enrollment data Liaise with center-based staff to ensure free flow of information between Regional Office and centers Identify, maintain and develop relationships with sponsorship bodies such as embassies, government agencies, universities and private sector sponsors Promote INTO centers at feeder institutions, exhibitions, seminars and events Analyze, recommend and present marketing or advertising opportunities Provide direct counselling to prospective students, including information on the US visa process Marketing Attend and support educational fairs and exhibitions as required (weekend work required) Answer phone calls and reply to emails from agents, prospective students, institutions & sponsors Assist senior recruitment staff with the management of both small and large projects which support the recruitment of students through our agent base and other stakeholders such as schools, universities and sponsors Gather testimonials from INTO students Create US-focused presentations and marketing documents for the Regional Office team Contribute US-focused materials to INTO’s African social media output Co-ordinate INTO Center staff visits to the region Customer Service Closely liaise with US Partnership Admissions to ensure an efficient, customer centric approach to the student application process Ensure agents always receive appropriate levels of customer service Present a professional and positive image of INTO at all times Suggest improvements to customer service at all levels within the organization Financial Manage a spend budget within agreed levels Develop annual cost budgets for US-focused recruitment activity Ensure accurate financial reporting requirements are met Timely and accurate submission of financial duties such as cash and credit card expenses The job title does not define or limit your duties and you may be required to carry out other work within your abilities from time to time at our request. Location The post will be based in Africa in a location which facilitates regular travel to all parts of Sub-Saharan Africa.
