ILF Canada specializes in pipeline and facility oil and gas consulting engineering drawing from our ILF Group worldwide experience. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controller/Scheduler to support our upcoming projects. This is a contract position located in our downtown Calgary office. Potential for extension is dependent on continued organizational growth. The Role · Provide active cost management reporting and governance of projects/programs from initiation to completion · Update, maintain and analyze project commitments, cost flow, and expenditures while also supporting monitoring, reviewing and analysis of cost, schedule, earned value and associated reporting · Develop and maintain financial reporting (weekly/monthly). Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project cycle to ensure transparency of project costs and trends · Create, maintain and manage cost forecasting/reporting systems to ensure accuracy and visibility of project estimates and budgets to project scope/objectives · Define and advise leadership and project team on specific actions to effectively manage cash flow · Develop and analyze change management documents to govern project costs and objective variances Contribute to the interpretation of a proposal or project contract · Ensure schedules are updated with actual progress and forecast remaining durations, project milestones, and completion dates as defined · Assess and document trends and risks of the project/ program as related to costs/schedule · Collaborate with the project team to ensure inter-disciplinary continuity · Decision Making: makes decisions and recommendations on high governance activities or complex issues, including those without formal guidelines or precedents. Exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity to execute responsibilities and interpret policy. Key Skills and Qualifications · Applied knowledge of cost engineering cost control · Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks · Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure worksite environment · Ability to work effectively in teams and with all levels of management and employees · Willingness to continuously learn · Flexible and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously · Detail-oriented · Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with database systems with specific expertise in MS Excel, Oracle Primavera P6, MS Power BI · Minimum 5 years’ experience in project reporting and controls, planning/scheduling in an EPCM project environment · The ideal candidate will possess post-secondary engineering or business education, preferably related to the Oil and Gas Industry · Strong communication skills, demonstrated skill coordinating effective meetings and the ability to influence across all levels The ability to anticipate potential problems and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions, and a strong sense of accountability Job Types: Full-time, Contract Experience: Project Scheduling: 5 years (Required) Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required)
