We’re currently looking for an assistant project manager to work with Fit out projects in Central London & the South East.Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for the production of plans and costs for the alteration of client’s workspaces. You will undertake surveys, seek sub-contractor costs and manage small works projects to completion and handover to the client. Day to day…. First thing to say is that because we’re a small company, you could find yourself mucking in with anything! But to give you a bit more of an idea of whether this job is for you, a normal “to do” list will include; Working closely with our team to deliver client contracts. What this actually means is things like CAD drawings, scheduling work, setting up jobs and liaising with clients and subcontractors. You’ll win extra gold stars if you can spot problems coming up and work out a plan to deal with them. Keeping on top of your admin yes, despite the fact we’re a paperless office, there’s always admin to do... The sorts of admin you’ll be in charge of includes; producing Risk Assessment and Method Statements, completing purchase orders and invoices, building schedules for jobs etc. What we want… First and foremost, we want someone who is driven, creative and has a high personal standard of work. Our new Assistant Project manager will be a great fit because they will; enjoy a fast paced, deadline driven environment. be competent in CAD, is essential. Have a basic understanding of office fit out, but not essential. have strong problem solving and creative thinking skills. be confident to make a decision, based on the data in front of them. love structure, be a starter-finisher and into the detail. be happy working in a small, close knit team. be super happy working on computers - all of the standard office programmes plus a couple of bespoke ones for our work (BuildaTrend is our main one). like dogs (seriously, our current head of office is a 4 legged red head she expects strokes - if that’s not for you, then nor are we).
