A superb Training Contract opportunity with U.S. law firm in the City of London. Locke Lord is a leading law firm with several offices across the U.S., in London and Hong Kong. The firm has had a presence in London for decades, but opened a larger office in 2012. They have a broad service offering and support a range of clients at home and internationally on high-profile transactions, advisory work and complex disputes. The Locke Lord London office is offering a training contract to a high-calibre law graduate preferably with the LPC to start in Spring 2020. The incoming trainee will benefit from a fostering environment in a small office, but have the opportunity to undertake seats in a range of areas supervised by experienced partners. The Locke Lord London office offers a unique blend of being a large U.S. firm with high quality work often involving an international element and the culture and feel of boutique business. They seek an enthusiastic and versatile individual with a passion for developing their career in the City of London at an international law firm. The successful candidate is likely to have: solid academics with a minimum 2:1 degree and ABB at A Level (excluding general studies); workplace experience in either a law firm or comparable commercial environment; completed the LPC; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and the drive and ambition to succeed as a lawyer. The firm can consider non-law graduates with the GDL and academic results outside the above parameters if there are mitigating circumstances or proven consistent high performance during your academic history.
