ABOUT US: Founded in 1895, Hudson Guild is a multi-service, multigenerational community organization rooted in and primarily focused on Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. The Guild serves approximately 14,000 people annually with programs focused on Early Childhood Education, Children and Youth Services, Adult Services, Mental Health Services, the Arts, and Community Building. Program participants come from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. POSITION OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the Director of Education for Early Childhood Services, the Education Site Supervisor is responsible for the operation and monitoring of a 3 classroom early childhood site. As a member of the early childhood management team, you will assist in the professional growth and development of teaching staff in the department. We are looking for an individual who has a commitment to the mission of Hudson Guild and a desire to support a high-quality educational environment that fosters the development and empowerment of children and families. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The Education Site Supervisor must be certified in Early Childhood Education NYS Birth-Grade 2 and a minimum of two years of teaching experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise all on site staff Address concerns of parents/guardians in regards to their child’s needs Evaluate lesson plans, conduct observations, and facilitate parent meetings Provide coaching to teaching staff Assist in implementing continuous monitoring and evaluation activities Support Director of Education in coordinating and conducting staff training Support Director of Education in the oversight, evaluation, and completion of early childhood program goals The Hudson Guild is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
