Production Associate: Position Overview: Successful Associate will work as part of team under the supervision of the area Team Leader/Supervisor, carryout out several tasks in the Production Assembly Dept. Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions: Achieving target production numbers and comparing actual production numbers to key performance indicator operating production equipment general assembly of automotive parts monitoring the production process and carrying out basic quality checks cleaning and maintaining 5S in work areas and machinery reporting equipment faults/failures to maintenance staff and/or Supervisor scanning product numbers into the computer system Any other job related duties as assigned. Howa Canada Manufacturing offers full time associates the following benefits: medical, dental, matching RRSP, paid year-end shut down (4-5 days), paid uniforms, safety footwear allowance, training courses and other great benefits after successfully completing the probationary period. Wage as follows: Start - $16.56 After 6 months - $17.60 After 12 months - $19.15 Shift premium of $.50/hr Skills / Qualifications: Must be a team player and able to work in a fast paced environment Must focus on safety, quality, 5S and productivity Experience: Although no experience is required, preference will be given to those applicants that have manufacturing experience. We are seeking applicants that have a drive to learn and be part of a dedicated team. Other Requirements: Flexibility to work straight afternoons or rotating shifts and at least 48 hours per week is required from time to time.
