We’re looking for a Category Management Analyst to join our team based at Crown House, Darwen. We need someone to provide a key and integral support service to Marketing, Commercial and the Finance departments in terms of Category Management and Merchandising expertise. As part of this role you’ll be identifying trends and opportunities for our Retailers and Crown Paints by providing detailed analysis of customer sales data. Make a difference by analysing sales and market data and creating specialist shelf layouts for our customers As part of the Marketing team, you’ll be actively involved in detailed analysis of retailer EPOS sales and also the creation and update of line plans (accurate and impactful tailor made store and shelf layout plans) for all accounts, using specialist software (JDA Space Planning Plus). Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to: Creation, development, update and circulation of charts and spreadsheets across EPOS, Category Data, GfK and BCF data sources. In-depth analysis of market data (BCF/GfK) to identify trends and opportunities to strengthen sales and improve profitability for the company and customers. Track and share the effectiveness of promotional activity Provide ad-hoc market reviews and information for interrogation and analysis thereof when and where requested. We’re looking for a proven communicator with experience in an analytical role Our ideal candidate will have a track record within an analytical role and within a Commercial environment. We imagine you to possess first class numeracy, analytical and computer literacy skills (including advanced Excel and PowerPoint) and have excellent attention to detail along with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. You’ll have knowledge of category management principles and techniques and an understanding of the Retail and Trade UK Paint markets. Furthermore, we expect you to have the ability to communicate effectively and have excellent time Management, organisational and planning skills. Experience of JDA Space Planning Plus would be beneficial but is not essential as training will be given. Join a team of likeminded inspirers.
