We require the talent of a Network Technician / IT Support to join our team. The Network Technician / IT Support is key member of the IT department and is responsible for providing support for employees seeking IT technical assistance related to systems, software and hardware. Reporting to the Business Analyst / Network Administrator the successful candidate will manage requests via IT service desk software that involves tracking, follow-up and closure of incidents. We offer attractive working conditions and benefits to our employees and their families: Competitive salary Annual Variable Compensation Safety Shoe Allowance Professional Career Development opportunity Education Reimbursement & Training Opportunities Group Health insurance benefits Group Retirement pension plan Employee and family assistance program DUTIES: Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking IT technical assistance and support, provide IT technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to the computer systems, software and hardware; Install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade hardware / software related to the user desktops, laptops, mobile devices and other peripherals; Respond to queries, either in person or remotely by email, over the phone or using other remote access tools; Closely monitor and follow up unresolved issues / requests to the next level of IT support personnel to ensure timely resolution of issues; Participate in 24/7 on-call support for system availability, troubleshooting and maintenance requirements; Participate in other IT related projects, local / overseas. IDEAL: Completion of post-secondary education specific to computer science, IT or related field (degree, diploma, certificate); 1-3 years of proven experience as Network / IT Support technician or other equivalent experience; Relevant knowledge / support of Manufacturing, Warehouse and ERP Systems a great advantage; Knowledge / direct hands-on experience with network switches (HP, Aruba, Cisco) and Wireless Controllers and Access Points, MS Windows Servers OS (Active Directory, Terminal Servers, Print Server, File Server, Database, Licensing, SCCM), as well as Windows 10, MS SQL Server Standard/Enterprise 2012/2016; Excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with staff, vendors, and other departments; Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple workflows and requests; Relationship building, tenacity and resilience to resolve problems as a technical resource.
