The transportation environment is evolving rapidly, and we are excited about the opportunity we have here, in one of NZs fastest growing cities, to contribute towards embedding safe and sustainable movement of people in and around the city. In this role you will contribute towards the development, retro-fitting and operation of public transport, walking and biking networks. You’ll also provide specialist subject matter expertise and advice on strategic public transport, walking and biking standards to customers (internal and external). You’ll embody the safe system approach in all of your work, based upon the 'Vision Zero’ philosophy. We are looking for someone who first and foremost practices walks the talk; who uses alternative forms of transport to get around the city. You’ll be a “transportation-geek” who loves keeping up with what’s happening in the industry. You’ll be an agile learner, a creative thinker, and passionate about making Hamilton a more vibrant, attractive and prosperous city. There’s no doubt it’s an exciting time for Hamilton.
