POSTING DATE: March 10, 2020 POSTING # 080-20 (Non Union) EXPIRY DATE: March 17, 2020 HURON PERTH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE NOTICE OF VACANCY POSITION: DESKTOP SUPPORT ANALYST Temporary Full-Time POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the effective implementation and maintenance of Information Technology within the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance and associates as assigned. REPORTS TO: Director, Regional Information & Communications DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible QUALIFICATIONS: - Graduate of a recognized University program in Computer Science or Diploma from a recognized Community College in Computer Technology Systems. - Recent IT support experience is a must. - Experience within a healthcare environment is preferred. - IT certification is an asset. EXPERIENCE: - Minimum one to two years in an IT support role. - Technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware. - Excellent technical knowledge of PC internal components. - Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience. - Extensive equipment support experience. - Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards. - Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories. - Able to read and understand technical, procedural documentation, and OEM guides. ABILITIES: - Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required. - Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. - Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. - Self motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. - Strong customer-service orientation.
