Facilities Team Leader – South Downs Campus Contract Type: Permanent 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Salary: £31,895.49 We are seeking a highly motivated, organised and competent Facilities Team Leader to oversee the day to day upkeep of all buildings and grounds within the South Downs Campus. The role is varied and will include all types of reactive & planned maintenance and general upkeep. Managing and delegating an effective response to day-to-day work orders, and breakdown repairs minimising disruption to the Campus users. Ensuring that the facilities, equipment and buildings are maintained to a high standard, ensuring that we offer the best possible learning environment for students. Carrying out general maintenance and repairs within all areas of the Campus. Typical work incudes basic carpentry work, painting and decorating, ‘making good’ & ‘making safe’ repairs to the building fabric, fixtures and fittings and basic construction tasks. Managing the Facilities Operatives shift and Saturday rota. Responsible for events and community activity set-ups. It would be expected that they can work effectively on their own as well as part of a team, with a positive and proactive ‘can do’ attitude. They should have good communication skills, be customer focused and work within the College’s health & safety policies by implementing them in their working practices.
