We are looking for passionate and committed volunteers to support our new service, the Brent Recovery Caf, which will support people who are experiencing a self-defined mental health crisis Do you have a passion to support people on their journey of rediscovering their strengths and aspirations through art and craft? If so we would love to hear from you! Main Tasks: We are looking for a passionate and committed volunteer to support our Brent Recovery Caf. -To prepare art and crafts sessions, involving service users in the planning process where possible -Facilitate this session to a small group with varying needs, and recognise these needs -Inspire and motivate service users to develop their arts and crafts skills, assisting them in the creation of their projects, and supporting them to brainstorm and use their own initiative -Assist with the general organisation, including set-up and clean up of materials, and notifying the supervisor when materials need replacement. -To adhere to Health & Safety procedures and Risk Assessments For more information about Hestia, this opportunity and our extensive benefits with volunteering at Hestia please see our volunteers pack attached to this advert! Location: Tokyngton Community Centre, HA9 6SA Hours: Flexible Facilitate at least one Arts and Crafts session per week during the opening hours which are Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 6pm till 11pm (including bank holidays) About Hestia At Hestia, we support adults and children across London in times of crisis. Last year we worked with more than 9,000 people, including victims of modern slavery, women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, young care leavers and older people. From giving someone a home to helping them to get the right mental health support, we support and enable people at the moment of crisis.
