Establishment of Crown Agent to manage the Drinking Water Regulatory System Review and develop new guidance technical material for drinking water suppliers Initially 6 month, hourly rate contract We are looking for an experienced Principal Strategic Advisor to develop and implement a programme of work to review, update and develop new guidance technical material for drinking water suppliers. We are looking for an experienced Principal Strategic Advisor to assist the programme team to develop and implement a comprehensive programme of work to review, update and develop new guidance technical material for drinking water suppliers. This material will be targeted to a range of drinking water suppliers and will be designed to be both technically accurate and user-friendly. You will be required to design the overall architecture to guide the programme of work, develop a roadmap for the development of all material, provide quality assurance oversight for draft Guidance Material developed with a particular focus on ensuring the integrity of the architecture is maintained, develop the content of allocated Compliance Rules and provide advice to inform other aspects of the establishment Crown Agent. This is most likely to relate to the development of regulations and/or compliance strategies and policies associated with compliance rules. You will have worked in scientific or technical programmes, have an appropriate legal and / or regulatory policy development background such that you can develop the architecture that will guide the development of a wide range of technical material (primarily compliance rules and guidance material), be experienced in planning and working within work programmes with multiple components, be able to engage with technical experts and to pull their knowledge and advice together in the form of Compliance Rules. You will have excellent written communication skills, including the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts in ways that can be understood by non-technical people and to develop plain English material that is effectively targeted to different audiences.
