Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the centre of everything we do. Assist the training officer with the work of developing and implementing plans for communication, engagement and marketing of Council services. To assist, contact and supervise internal and external communications for the Department together with the Corporate Communications Unit. Research and develop a full range of promotional and marketing materials to improve the Department's internal and external Emotional Well-being and Homelessness communications. Engage and communicate with young people Responsibility for Resources.. e.g. staff, finance, equipment Marketing Finance MAIN DUTIES Support the work of creating and implementing the Youth Service's communication plan and engagement plan Responsible for researching and promoting Emotional Well-Being and Homelessness to a range of internal audiences (staff and councillors) and external audiences (the people of Gwynedd in general and specific group as and when necessary). Research current resources available to young people, write and distribute press releases and articles to be distributed to the local and national media. Ensure that information of a good quality is available to support engagement activities. Implement a variety of marketing techniques, public relations and market research in order to reach potential service users, including those who are hard to reach. Responsible for ensuring the Department's internal and public websites are updated and maintained in accordance with written procedures. Start, develop, edit and distribute newsletters as and when necessary. Produce service publications, leaflets and other promotional material, including presentations, seminars and displays. Assist as required with dealing with general telephone enquiries. Assist the team to prepare and distribute publicity material according to the need. Support the service's social media pages. Responsibility for self-development. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy. Operate within the Council’s equal opportunities and equality policies. Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management standards and guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation. Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint. Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary level and responsibility level of the job. Responsible for reporting any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.
