Jr. Accounting Specialist Gunnison is growing! Join our team. The Jr. Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including the accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting and payroll. This is a long-term career opportunity to work in the Government Contracting and Commercial space. Jr. Accounting Specialist Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reports Generate and troubleshoot all monthly contract billings and track AR aging for customer delinquencies Provide quality assurance for subcontractor invoices according to Subcontract Agreements Process semi-monthly payroll Perform credit card reconciliation in support of monthly closing. Develop and maintain regular reports via the company's accounting system. Location: HQ in Alexandria, VA, moving to Falls Church area in the Spring of 2020. Some teleworking opportunities. Qualifications: B.S. in Accounting/Finance. 0+ years of experience in supporting a wide variety of accounting functions. Basic knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures that is reflective of the financial services industry. Solid Excel skills with exposure to automated accounting systems a plus. Excellent communication skills. Detail oriented. Additional skills and information: Excellent opportunity for growth within the role. Government Contracting experience a plus. Computer savvy, experience with accounting databases a plus.
