We are currently seeking an experienced FHA Loan Closer. This position is responsible for all aspects of closing from the issuance of the FHA commitment to Endorsement. If you have at least 5 years of experience in 207/223(f), 221(d)(4) and 232 closings, we want to talk to you! This is a very fast paced department with a high number of closings going on at one time. Experience in construction and affordable transactions involving tax credits is preferred. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Review HUD commitments and work with underwriting for amendments Review closing documents – this includes FHA legal documents Work with our attorneys to ensure all documents are accurate Assist in disbursement schedules and flow of fund schedules Prepare settlement statements and the initial draw Work closely with HUD and the borrower to resolve any questions Schedule pre-construction meetings with HUD for the closing Experience, Skills and Abilities Required FHA closing experience required; construction experience a plus Multifamily experience required; healthcare and affordable preferred Knowledge of legal documents Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) Organization and attention to detail is a must Ability to work under time constraints Superior customer service skills
