As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be working as part of Graphcore's Software engineering team in Oslo developing Graphcore scale out technology for our Intelligence Processing Unit (IPU). You will work closely with our hardware and software product engineering teams to develop the platform software and management software for our scale out technology. Responsibilities Design and implement software/firmware for embedded devices from requirements to production and commercial deployment Develop procedures and tests used by manufacturing Interface and cooperate with external manufacturing companies Improve efficiency, stability and scalability of tests and system resources Integrate and validate new product designs Board bring-up of new designs Requirements Experience from working with external manufacturers Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets Solid programming experience in C and understanding of C++ Experience with Python and shell scripting Experience with Linux and RTOS environments Understanding of low-level platform software and peripheral device drivers Familiarity with software configuration management and build tools (git/yocto/cmake/ninja) Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components Excellent communication skills We welcome people of different backgrounds and experiences and are committed to building an inclusive work environment that makes Graphcore a great home for everyone.
