Love what you hear? Join our team! We are looking for an Operations Manager to inspire, motivate and lead our production workers to new horizons. Responsibilities: People Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to production workers by establishing goals and priorities with a focus on continuous improvement; Evaluate production worker performance by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner; Develop team capabilities through continuous on-the-job, formal training opportunities and coaching; Manage work- flow balance and maximize labour efficiencies; Prepare management reports (ex. Labour, attendance, hours worked, overtime,) reports as required and ensure budgets are maintained; Liaison appropriately with HR and other support functions as needed; Collaborate with the Farm Manager on production matters (human and financial) on an on-going basis; Production Leadership: Allocate material, human and financial resources appropriately and efficiently; Ensures that all good manufacturing processes, and sanitation requirements are adhered to at all times; Monitor all production reports to ensure that all guidelines/programs are followed and are adhered to; Manage production needs and equipment capabilities to achieve the production requirements; Ensure that production worked receive adequate good manufacturing practices and technical training and that all procedures and guidelines are adhered to; Communicate effectively to coordinate work and ensure daily schedules are communicated and adhered to Occupational Health and Safety: Adhere to Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment; Report and investigate unsafe conditions, all incidents, injuries or near misses immediately; Food Safety: Adhere, safeguard and comply with the Standard Sanitization Operating Procedures, Standard Operation Procedures, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Good Manufacturing Practice at all times without exception Qualifications and Education Requirements: Degree or Diploma in business or related field; 3+ experience in an operational or production leadership type role. Experience in the food manufacturing industry considered a strong asset; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential; 24/7 operational mentality; Tech savvy with the ability to work with and around heavily automated equipment; Working knowledge of food regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.; Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS; Computer literacy (MS Office Suite) We pride ourselves in having a great team, who understands the importance of locally produced food and growing a great product.
