Why we need you: We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to set the strategic design direction for our software platform. You will be responsible for creating the vision for our cloud-based software products and will lead our design function. You will previously have been involved in creating or shaping design systems and will be comfortable working and collaborating with development teams – importantly, you will be at ease providing direction on guidelines, components and interactions. You will also lead the implementation and dissemination of our design system to ensure it is leveraged consistently and to establish trust in its long-term merits. What you will do: Responsible for the creation and management of design standards. Creation and documenting of style guide and component library. Take the lead within the development team on ensuring UI is standards-compliant, performant, maintainable, accessible and cross-browser compatible as required. Manages design projects across the entire product lifecycle. You set the vision for the user experience and create the space for others to collaborate. Creates fresh, modern designs for desktop/tablet/mobile interfaces. Inspires the organisation by showing/prototyping what is possible before it is built. Conducts design workshops and guides the process through the various stages of UX design process including UX brief, research, wireframing, prototyping, testing and iterating. Develop a deep understanding of the needs of customers and users, working with our Product Management Team to solidify this understanding and then present your findings and recommendations to the project team, stakeholders and the Product Owner. What you have: Experience designing complex web applications, both from UI, UX and product perspective. Portfolio of past work demonstrating aptitude for exceptional design and attention to detail required. Expertise manipulating images and designing custom graphics (like icons), e.g. using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) for the purpose of sourcing, optimising and formatting simple visual assets (logos, icons, etc.). Expertise in HTML5 and CSS3. 4+ years experience working in a senior role in design. Relevant third level degree – design or technology related degree. Detailed knowledge of front-end development. Experience in researching and understanding complex businesses and creating innovative product ideas. Understanding of how Single Page Applications function. Understanding of how front-end applications are built against a REST API. Strong written and presentation skills. Experience designing data visualizations. Experience with designing web building tools (similar to Wix, Wordpress, Squarespace). Knowledge of the Angular front-end web application platform. Experience with automated testing tools and techniques. Demonstrable experience and comfort working in an Agile environment, working in multiple product teams simultaneously.
