Our Head Offices are based within our own award winning 4 star hotel – CASA – in Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire, and we have a newly expanded large Warehousing and Distribution unit in Clay Cross. Due to our continued sales growth, and this expansion to our facility, we are now recruiting for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Controller. This is a new role. The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience of managing warehousing and distribution sites and taking ownership of logistics planning. This will be a varied, day-based role, managing our current supervisory team and their operatives. The Role: Responsible for company warehouse & transport performance ensuring that targets are set and achieved in line with overall strategic business objectives; Ownership of logistics management both Inbound and Outbound utilising our internal fleet and Third Party Partners. Management of our own fleet of vehicles in accordance with company policies and all legal requirements; Accountable for Asset Management in the warehouse; Accountable for Stock and Stock Management in the warehouse; Accountable for HMRC Management; Accountable for overall capacity vs demand planning for the warehouse; A partner with our Finance team to prepare monthly P&L accounts and annual budgets, controlling costs whilst maintaining service targets as defined in business score cards; Understands and meets customers’ needs and expectations through operational excellence; Analyses business operational risks and makes timely commercial decisions; Accountable for defining optimum resource levels based on demand; Accountable for all Health and Safety regulations and SHE policies and procedures within warehousing & distribution.
