We are looking for an enthusiastic EHO/Development Compliance Officer to join our Environmental Health Services team, working in a team this role will be responsible for the effective implementation of Council's statutory public and environmental health obligations. The Candidate: In order to be successful in this position, you will need to be highly organised and be able to meet deadlines under conflicting pressures. You will also need to have an understanding of the relevant legislation pertaining to the role of an EHO and be competent with assessments of food premises, environmental pollutants, wastewater treatment installations and other relevant areas to environmental and public health. Consideration may be given to applicants wishing to apply for either the Environmental Health Officer or Development Compliance Officer disciplines on a part-time basis. Applicants for either the Environmental Health Officer or Development Compliance Officer will be considered. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have completed a possess a Bachelor of Health Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent qualifications to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Health with at least three years’ experience working as an Environmental Health Officer within local government. Position Number: 100564 Position Hours: Full Time, 75 hours per fortnight.
