About the Role Are you digitally savvy and have a flair and passion for all things social and digital? The role will provide media and digital/social communications services and support to the organisation. You will assist to development and maintain positive and proactive relationship with all levels of the media to facilitate positive, fair and accurate coverage of Council through website, social media, digital platform and publications. The position is based in Councils Portland office for 2 days/16 hours per week on temporary part time contract for a period of 12 months. You will have: Relevant tertiary qualifications (in Communications and Media and/or PR or equivalent industry) or other qualifications with relevant experience. Have a creative flair and passion for all things social and digital content. Excellent social networking skills and social analytics tools and ability to report and to recommend innovative social and digital content strategies. Demonstrated high level administrative and exceptional report writing skills with proven ability to write, edit and research content with design skills Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team, as well as autonomously. Experience and proficiency with MS Office programs. Current Drivers Licence is essential..
