Genesis Analytics is the largest African economics-based consulting firm. We have been providing high quality consulting and advisory services since 1998 from our headquarters in Johannesburg and, more recently, our office in Nairobi. We built our reputation in the areas of competition and regulatory economics, and financial services strategy consulting, but have since expanded our offering to incorporate agribusiness, climate-smart agriculture and infrastructure, and health. This sector work is underpinned by our specialist practices in evaluation and behavioural economics. We are the only African affiliate of the Shared Value Initiative, which works with corporate clients to understand, manage and improve their socioeconomic value. ROLE DESCRIPTION: The main purpose of the job is to lead and participate in teams of consultants to facilitate the completion of strategic consulting assignments, specifically as it pertains to monitoring & evaluation in public health for a variety of clients including, donor organisations, government departments, pharmaceutical companies and non-governmental organisations. The work will be delivered through: Well managed consulting projects Developing strategic insights and leading team problem solving Ensuring effective working relationships within teams and with clients Growing the client base through developing a network of appropriate relationships Mentoring more junior members of the team KEY REQUIREMENTS: Manage projects, generate sound advice and provide quality assistance to clients - use skills and experience to break down difficult problems into tractable component parts and identify practical ways to resolve each component. Perform rigorous analysis of data and reports using both conceptual problem solving and quantitative approaches - independently identify and overcome data and conceptual problems that emerge during the analysis.
