Full Time 37 Hours Permanent Job category/type Architects / Surveyors / Engineers Attachments Blank Job description We are seeking a keen, motivated and committed individual to be responsible for managing the delivery of energy projects in the Energy Services Teams within Council Housing, Design and Technical Services. The Energy Services Teams are responsible for energy and sustainability issues in Gateshead, managing the Council's energy use and carbon emissions, and delivering energy and sustainability in the wider community. You will join the teams at an exciting time as the we embark on major capital schemes, to expand the Gateshead District Energy Scheme and develop new ERDF funded home energy efficiency schemes. To help the team deliver its services, you will manage energy capital projects through the full life, manage contractors effectively, using NEC contract procedures, establish and manage the project's procedures including health and safety compliance, engage and manage stakeholders, support other members of the energy projects team. You must have Knowledge of government energy policy, local /regional energy policies and decentralised, low carbon energy. Essential qualifications include contract management (NEC3/4 or equivalent), Level 3 Qualifications in Building / Environment or appropriate subjects, 5 GCSEs minimum at grade 4 or grade C or above including Maths & English. Experience is required of project management, contractor management, budget management, stakeholder consultation, oral and written communication skills, being self motivated, setting priorities for tasks and managing public sector grant funding.
