Gatekeeper is seeking driven and organised Property Managers to join the team in Witney, Oxfordshire. Based at our Central Office you will work alongside the whole team including the company owners. You will look after properties in one of our local areas including Aylesbury, Banbury, Bicester, Swindon and Witney. The role is varied and interesting and requires someone with confidence and self motivation. Gatekeeper is an estate and letting agent, but our approach is a little different. We expect a lot from our team; hard work, drive and excellent customer service are crucial, but we offer an exceptional level of training, support and development in advance. Since we first opened our doors in 2004, we have grown hugely. We look after properties in and around Aylesbury, Banbury, Bicester, Swindon and Witney - all from our flagship Central Office in Witney. This means you would be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the property management work effectively and have direct responsibility for your tenant and contractors. You would also be a Gatekeeper 'brand guardian', responsible for retaining our customers, promoting our brand and the services we offer to them. A large part of your day will be helping customers with enquiries, either over the phone or by email; your biggest challenge will be to build strong and personable relationships - most of the time without face to face communication. A confident and friendly phone manner will be essential to achieve the best possible performance. You will spend some time out and about in your local area. Generally, one or two days half days per week will be devoted to visiting your customers and property portfolio; during this time, you will assess property condition, complete end of tenancy 'check out' inspections and property inventories. You will also meet up with third-party contractors, to monitor and manage their work and performance. The role reports to the Property Care Director and you will be work closely to ensure your portfolio offers the possible service and experience for our customers. If they are out on a well-earned holiday, you will have the opportunity to step into their shoes and complete some of the day-to-day duties of the role; a great opportunity to further hone your management skills! There are also plenty of opportunities to be involved in the development of the business. Our Property Managers spend time both as a team and independently, working on projects to enhance the customer experience and on training guides. Your view and input will be in demand, which is a great chance for you to shine and directly impacts the future direction of the department and of Gatekeeper as a whole. The Nuts and Bolts In most cases, you will work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, but as with any senior role, from time to time extra hours will be required to deliver the very best performance and service to our customers. The role is based at our Central Office in Witney most of the time. The properties you look after will be within an hour's drive from the office, so on your 'field days' you will be required to travel - and for that reason, a driving license and car are essential. You will be representing our brand. As such, smart, business dress is required at all times. The Good... You will enjoy a package of between £28,000.00 to £35,000.00 depending on experience, with the benefit of an individual bonus Just as importantly, you will receive plenty of support and training in the role and we will spend a huge amount of time investing in your own personal development. The Bad... There is a lot to juggle. You will have to be super organised and a lot is expected of you. You need to be able to look after your own customer service performance, as well as looking after your list and your appointments. The Ugly... The role is very varied - one minute you might be in a team meeting, helping to decide the strategy for the next quarter, the next you might be searching for a gas meter box outside a property in the rain! The right attitude is the most important attribute Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Tactful and articulate Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving Sharp eye for detail Highly motivated and results driven Able to act quickly and decisively Good IT skills Come and work for a business where you are a shareholder in the company!
