PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES The role of Director, Human Resources embraces two key elements: the tactical execution of HR administrative functions and the implementation of strategic components of organizational development. Through the building of a strong team and processes, and teaming with other members of the organization, the Director, Human Resources is expected to be the focal point for Revision's global organizational development undertakings. Additionally, this role is required to develop an HR team that fully embodies all that is right about the Revision culture in every interaction with both internal and external customers. SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES HR Team Building: Ensure the HR team consists of high caliber, strong performers with a customer-first mindset Instill in the HR team an ethos of service to outside constituents, while also considering what is best for Revision as a whole Continually develop, train and mentor the HR team to ensure that they are capable of being a recognized asset to others in the company Acting as a player/coach, create an atmosphere in which people work together enthusiastically and effectively in producing superior results. Ultimately, build a high-performing team that reflects the Revision tenets of responsiveness and customer service Organizational Development: In working closely with the Revision Executive Team and other key stakeholders in the organization, provide guidance and leadership in architecting Revision's organizational development strategy, particularly as relates to hiring, retaining and developing high performance team members. Develop and implement broad human resources policies and long-range plans to support the overall growth objectives and philosophy of the Company Ensure implemented HR strategies and processes are fair and equitable and lead to employee engagement and job satisfaction. As needed, develop creative and effective integration strategies to support acquisitions, expansion and human capital requirements Create and implement an overarching strategy for identifying and hiring the highest caliber people at all levels to the Revision team Using the myriad of HR tools available today, drive specific strategies for each new job posting at Revision Participate in talent assessment and selection for key roles within the company Build and operate a highly competitive, attractive and effective compensation system for all Revision employees with integrity and performance standing at the center of the strategy Build and oversee an ongoing talent performance management system and strategy in order for all employees to have an opportunity to continue leveraging their strengths and work to improve on their shortcomings Ensure that the combined strategies for talent acquisition, compensation, and performance management work together seamlessly such that every employee has a clear view of what their long term career can be at Revision Identify, recommend and implement employee training programs to support operational needs and leadership development Identify, create and ensure accurate and timely employee communications are constructed and implemented with the assistance of the Marketing Communications department as needed. HR Administration: Build a strong relationship with Company Leadership to ensure that the HR needs for their respective organizations are heard, understood and addressed in a constructive fashion that best serves the overall needs of the Company Team with department leads to ensure that their overall HR administrative needs such as new employee onboarding as well as benefits and payroll are being met in a timely fashion Introduce and maintain effective HR policies and procedures that reflect Revision's vision, mission and values Ensure that Revision's HR activities meet all mandated U.S. state and federal employee relations and labor laws as well as Provincial and federal Canadian statutes. Ensure the HR team fulfills all requirements as relates to compliance management mandates Work closely with the Finance Lead and other key stakeholders, to ensure that Revision has both payroll practices and a benefits package that fits the needs of Revision and its employees for the U.S., Canadian and global locations as required. Manage overall HR budget Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements Bachelor degree in Human Resources or pertinent related field; 7+ years of experience in a Senior HR leadership position; Knowledge of manufacturing environment, a plus; Superior professional management skills including leadership, organization, documentation, training, and process engineering; Highest levels of personal integrity and honesty; Superior intellect; a combination of mental flexibility, creativity, and judgment; An analytical and effective problem-solver with a strong strategic orientation, who deals effectively with micro and macro issues; Able to create a “can-do”, proactive environment, and views situations as challenges rather than problems; Easily able to swing from strategic to tactical and back again, as needed; Must be a “roll up the sleeves” type who is as comfortable designing strategy as in implementing it; Work environment (include physical requirements) Office environment; Significant travel to the company's Vermont and Montreal facilities.
