GTL is currently seeking a Director of Field Services to lead the Midwest Region. The Field Services Director will be responsible for the successful leadership and management of all field service activity associated with the Midwest Region. This is a remote position and must be based in one of the following states: IL, IN, OH, or MI Responsibilities will include the following components: leadership, operational/financial planning and management, program planning and management, workforce management, risk management, and community relations. Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Develop and implement a vision and strategic plan to guide the region with organizational inputs Focus on account management; implement a customer service focused delivery model to ensure customer satisfaction Identify and mitigate internal and external issues that affect the region Energize and foster an effective and impactful team environment Develop an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the region in line with organizational pillars Ensure that the operation (to include the programs and services offered by the region) meets and exceeds the expectations of its contracted customers, internal and external customers, peers and management Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation and delivery of programs and services of the region Prepare a comprehensive annual budget and manage to the approved budget Identify and evaluate the risks to the company, organization, people (clients, staff, management, contractors), property, finances, image and implement measures to control risks Determine staffing requirements for regional management and program delivery Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of special projects Qualifications: A minimum of 12+ years within Telecom/Fiber Optic Industry A minimum of at least 5 years of direct experience in a management role Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent years of experience Demonstrated management experience to include leadership skills, decision making skills, project management skills, and impactful service delivery skills Passionate about customer service. Ability to motivate and inspire elevating the customer experience Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel skills, creating Gantt charts, Project boards, etc. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build relationships, foster teamwork, and interact effectively with all levels of personnel Successfully demonstrated experience being able to anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of internal and external customers Adaptability and innovation is essential Strong ethical principles are critical to leading the organization Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically are a must Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time Position will be a remote based opportunity. Must be based in one of the states listed above.
